Dusk Befalls Us

“Hey, Tumbleweed. You know I love you, right?”

I nodded as globs of tears spread down my face.

“And I’ll always be proud of you. Never forget that.”

Her eyes motioned me to move along.

Words could no longer come out, as desperately as I opened my mouth to speak them.

All I could do was wave and begin my journey back.

I continue on, I’ll never stay stagnant even through my pain.
